For therapists, counsellors and practitioners
Letters that keep you close.
Kindred is an email list for people whose work is relationship. Write to your community the way you would write to a friend, and know every person on your list truly asked to be there.
Why Kindred
Built for the way care actually works
Consent first
Proof that they asked
Every signup keeps a record of the exact words they agreed to, the page they were on and when. If anyone ever asks, the answer is one click away, the way Canada’s anti-spam law expects.
Warm by design
Letters, not campaigns
Write in simple blocks on a page that looks like the letter your reader will open. Greet each person by name, send yourself a test, then send it or choose a time.
Honest numbers
Figures you can trust
Opens are labelled as estimates, because they are. Clicks, deliveries and bounces are counted exactly, and anyone who leaves is never written to again.
How it works
From a signup to a letter in their inbox
1
Gather your people
Add a Kindred signup form to your website. Each list keeps its own promise, so people who asked for one email only ever get one.
2
Welcome them, then write
A welcome letter goes out within a minute of someone joining. When you have something to say, write it, test it, and send.
3
See what landed
Each letter has a plain report: who received it, what they clicked, when they read it, and anyone who did not get it, with the reason.
Made by a therapist
Write to your community without feeling like you are marketing at them.
Made by Ruth Unaegbu, MA, RCC, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and founder of Rooted
Kindred started as the email list for Rooted, a community and directory for Black therapists in Canada. It is built around the things that matter in our work: consent, privacy, and saying what you mean.
Opening to new practices soon

Kindred is opening to a small group of practices first. Join the waitlist to hear when there is room for you, with founding pricing for the people who were here early.
