Draft for review. These terms have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and will be finalised before Kindred opens to new practices.

Terms

The terms of using Kindred

Who can use Kindred

Kindred is for therapists, counsellors, practitioners and the organisations they work in, to write to people who have asked to hear from them.

Consent is not optional

  • You may only add people who have given you express consent to receive your letters, as Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL) requires.
  • You may not buy, rent or import lists of people who did not sign up with you.
  • Every letter must include your real mailing address and a working unsubscribe link. Kindred adds both and does not let you remove them.
  • Do not send clinical information or anything a client would not want sent by email.

Your content and your readers

Your letters and your lists belong to you. You can export your readers at any time. We use them only to provide the service to you.

Suspension

We may pause sending from an account that generates unusual numbers of bounces or spam complaints, to protect every other practice’s ability to reach the inbox. We will tell you why.

Payment

Paid plans are billed monthly in Canadian dollars, plus applicable tax. You can cancel at any time; your account stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Availability

We work to keep Kindred available and your data safe, but the service is provided as is. We are not liable for indirect losses arising from its use.
